Good grief

Hi Everyone,
I almost never work in the wood shop if Im upset or really distracted about something because when my attention is elsewhere, I often do something really dumb. And today was a good example:
Remember that turning blank I was going to make out of kempas and white oak? Well I decided to just glue it up after a stressful day and so I did. Heres the result:

I did it incorrectly and now the blank cant be used. Damn! I was really looking forward to turning this.
I also did some turning on the red kempas bowl and Im probably lucky I didnt mess that up as well:

Im going to go and have a cup of tea and go for a walk.
